Working in partnership with Social Prescribers

Making a Difference helps those who need support to move towards the job market. Our one-to-one coaching sessions have proved extremely beneficial for people referred to us from Social Prescribers, and in this case through Horsham Primary Care Network.

Kim and colleagues from Horsham Primary Care started working with Making a Difference in June 2020 and have since referred a number of clients looking to re-enter the labour market.

Clients referred have been facing barriers including mental health issues and confidence. Support given includes confidence building, job search and CV support through both group sessions and one to one support sessions.

Kim commented about her partnership with us:

“Participants are often grateful for the one-to-one, personalised support they get from the service – it gives them more skills to continue with their job search. They do not feel pressured or judged in any way but feel understood and reflect back the positive ways in which their mental health and physical health is taken into account.

Social Prescribers have the confidence to know that when referring to Making a Difference a holistic approach is taken to help build clients’ self-esteem and they have their opportunity for their voice to be heard in what is a very stressful time for many.”
